(57) The present invention provides an anti-theft system for vehicle comprising; an ignition switch; an electronic circuit configured to generate at least one signal upon receiving power from a battery through ignition switch; a control unit configured to receive the signal generated by said electronic circuit and said control unit is in connection with at least one vehicle component; wherein, the ignition switch comprises a mechanism configured to connect at least a single input with multiple outputs to enable power supply from power source to the electronic circuit and to the control unit from battery wherein; the control unit is configured to allow starting of vehicle by enabling functioning of at least one of the vehicle component after authenticating the signal received from the electronic circuit.
