The vessel includes electric azipod propulsion units (9), electric bow thrusters (10) for manoeuvring, dynamic positioning system, and brine diffusers (8). The drinking water stored in the tanks (7) is transported to land by means of an underwater pipe (17), a floating pipe (14), towed floating tanks (16), and/or tanker vessels (23). Electrical energy is supplied to land by an underwater cable (21).
