Anteriority search

The anteriority search on the trade name : Process which consists in verifying whether a trade name is already used by another company or another entity. This makes it possible to determine whether a trade name can be used for a specific business or brand.

Anteriority research process:
  1. Define the trade name
  2. Search for databases: such as trade and companies registers, databases of registered brands, domain name databases;
  3. Use search tools: similarity research algorithms, commercial name classifications;
  4. Analyze the results: to determine whether a similar or identical trade name is already used by another company or another entity;
  5. Evaluate the risks: Evaluate the risks of conflicts with existing commercial names to decide on the continuation or withdrawal of the trade name.
