  • OAPI supports innovation and entrepreneurship at the Bafoussam Development Forum

The African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) actively participated in the second edition of the Forum for the Development of Bafoussam (Fodebaf 2) on January 24, 2025. This event, placed under the theme "Promoting an inclusive and sustainable economic development in Bafoussam: mobilizing actors and resources", brought together the key players in local development. The patent examiner Idi Ayouba, representing OAPI, intervened during the panel "entrepreneurship and innovation". His intervention highlighted the crucial role of intellectual property in supporting creators and the development of local businesses.

The forum has particularly focused on the entrepreneurship of young people and women in the region. The exchanges made it possible to share the success stories of incubators and accelerators of start-ups, thus offering inspiring models for future entrepreneurs. Through this participation, the OAPI reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive local development. Our organization works concretely for the valuation of intellectual property assets, the creation of jobs and the generation of income, thus contributing to the sustainable development of communities and member states
