Yaoundé June 27, 2025 - The OAPI celebrated the closing ceremony of the 15th edition of its prestigious professional master in intellectual property (PI). An event imbued with solemnity and pride which marked the culmination of a demanding course, for 39 impetrants from its Academy of PI (Apid), from various African countries.

A training, symbol of newly acquired expertise at the service of the continent.

Now better equipped to meet the challenges linked to the management, enhancement and protection of intellectual assets, the new graduates have received their scrolls, at the end of training and thus integrate the new generation of PI African specialists.

At the crossroads between law, economy and technology, the master's program aims to strengthen national and regional capacities to stimulate the development of our states.

Academic excellence rewarded

The ceremony was enhanced by the awards ceremony of the World Intellectual Property Organization (OMPI), awarded to the majors of the three specialties of the program. These are:

  • NDI Evindi Albert Legrand from Cameroon, intellectual property specialty and new technologies ;
  • Yeltigri Winpanga Ghislain from Burkina Faso, major of the Economy and PI management ;
  • Boussa Elenga Brige Dublinb of the Congo, major of the applied intellectual property specialty .

Distinctions that illustrate not only the quality of the training provided but also the commitment of students to be key players in a field in full change at a time when innovation, creativity and knowledge become essential levers of economic growth.

Through this new promotion, the OAPI reaffirms its desire to promote a culture of the PI in Africa, by providing human capital capable of supporting states, businesses and creators in the promotion of their innovations.
