From June 26 to 28, 2025, Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo welcomed the 5th edition of the REF, a major event which brought together more than 2,800 participants around the promotion of investment in infrastructure and innovation within the French -speaking space.
The opening ceremony was held at the conference center of the Grand Hotel in Kintele, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Congo Sem Denis Sassou N'Guesso, as well as many political, economic and institutional figures.
The OAPI was represented there by its director general Denis Bohoussou, who took part in panel n ° 5 organized at the Hilton hotel, and entitled: "Secure, harmonize, train towards a more fluid and competitive French -speaking economic space". The opportunity for the Director General to present the strategic vision of the organization in terms of competitiveness of the recording taxes of industrial property securities to encourage entrepreneurs and start-ups in the protection of their innovations.
Alongside Slim Khalbous, rector of the French -speaking university agency (AUF) and Thomas Denfer president of the French -speaking alliance of Trade Registers (AFRC), he said: "There can be no knowledge of knowledge without rigorous and accessible protection of innovation. The OAPI is committed to making this protection not only effective, but above all affordable for entrepreneurs in our common space ”. OAPI's participation in this event testifies to its commitment to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the French -speaking space.
