Happy New Year and best wishes to the Director General, the Deputy Director General and the Financial Controller!
The OAPI headquarters in Yaoundé hosted a rather special New Year's greetings ceremony for staff at the Directorate General on January 20, 2025. In addition to expressing satisfaction with the positive results achieved in 2024, Director General Denis BOHOUSSOU outlined the priorities for the new year. These include continuing the digitalization of the Organization and operationalizing the funding mechanism for inventions and innovations developed by citizens of member states.
Above all, the ceremony will be remembered for the heartfelt tribute paid by all OAPI staff to two colleagues who have retired. These were Mr. Maurice Batanga, who held the position of Director of Legal Affairs, and Mr. Armand-Élie Pango, who served as Coordinator of the Single Window. They were wished good luck and much success in their new lives.
