The OAPI has teamed up with the actors of the intellectual property system ecosystem when signing a tripartite convention between the national liaison structure of Guinea with the OAPI, the Guinea Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (CCIAG) and the Commerce Court of Conakry. The ceremony took place on March 13, 2025, under the chairmanship of Dr. Diaka Sidibe, Minister of Commerce, Industry and SMEs.
For a business climate regulated by PI rights
The objective of the event was to promote the development of an environment conducive to innovation and investment through the protection and defense of creators' rights by the intellectual property system.
Priority axes of the Convention
• Facilitation of the registration of industrial property rights for economic actors
• Strengthening capacity for management and settlement of disputes related to intellectual property
• Awareness and support for entrepreneurs, craftsmen and innovators in the protection of their creations and innovations
• Incituration of the creation and development of innovative start-ups and SMEs
• Facilitation of access to technological databases to promote industrialization and local processing
The OAPI reaffirms its commitment to fully play its role in the implementation of this important convention.
