The 139th edition of the International Labor Day was a moment of reflection under the prism of "social dialogue as a performance pillar at the OAPI" .
The joint efforts for the boom of OAPI between top management, all staff and dismemberments in the member states were celebrated this May 1, 2025, around three interconnected points: ergonomics at work, serene social climate and professional performance. A performance, moreover, materialized by an increasing production of industrial property titles, the result of the commitment of the working ankle on a daily basis.
Make a common core between social dialogue and conviviality,
Because dialogue this also share warm moments, two flagship activities marked this celebration at the OAPI;
• A gala match delivered on April 30, 2025 between the FC brand team with Captain Aurélien Kenne, head of the operating service of information systems and FC patent carried by Herve Kamga, computer scope. It was a moment of social cohesion which once again contributed to bringing all the staff closer to the same atmosphere. Winner: The OAPI wins !
• A conference embellished with rejoicing that has offered exchanges to commemorate the struggles for workers' rights but also, greet the important progress already made so far to create better working conditions in a social peace environment without which any effort is in vain.
A mapping of social dialogue and performance at the OAPI
To maintain the audience on the theme of the day, Mrs. Mbouzie Ahanda Angélique Salomé, Head of the Division of Standards and International Labor Cooperation at the Cameroon Ministry of Labor and Social Security: "The OAPI displays a much more improved performance, therefore if the elements of social dialogue are successful, automatically the performance also increases"
For the lead with the management team as staff representative, Mr. Essomba representative of the staff: “Since our mandate there are effectively significant advances. Certainly all work remains to be perfect there are still some complaints to satisfy, but for the moment the social climate is quite evolutionary in the right direction ”.
Speaking on behalf of the Director General, the Deputy Director General Mondésir Oualou Panouala paying homage to the workers of the OAPI to whom all the merit of the influence of the organization and the confidence made by the administrators. He also encouraged them to continue to give the best of themselves: social dialogue at OAPI is a permanent reality to avoid crises and each contribution whatever it is, is essential for the success of all ”
This 139th edition of the International Labor Day at the OAPI ended on a note of hope and challenges still to be met, which require the mobilization of all, to make OAPI a modern and efficient organization at the service of its member states.
