Educational objectives:
Upon completion of the training, students should be able to:
– Master the ecosystem of Collective Management Organizations;
– Understand the organization and operation of Collective Management Organizations;
– Know how to implement the right processes to optimize collective management;
– Master the techniques of documentation, collection and distribution of royalties;
– Understand the different contractual relationships between the various actors in the field of copyright and related rights.

II.2. CERTIFICATE OF INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Objective
To enable listeners to become familiar with the OAPI intellectual property system.
Educational objectives:
Upon completion of the training, participants should be able to:
– Master the fundamentals of the intellectual property system;
– Master the procedures for protecting creations at OAPI (technical, commercial, aesthetic);
– Conduct preliminary assessments in industrial property matters;
– Understand the different forms of infringement of industrial property rights;
– Assist, advise, and support users of the industrial property system in
preparing applications for the protection of creations;
– Understand the role of National Liaison Structures in promoting the intellectual property system;
– Utilize the online filing system implemented by OAPI;
Target audience:
OAPI and SNL staff, students, staff of agents' offices, magistrates, clerks, bailiffs, any interested person.

II.3. TRAINING ON THE NEW PROCEDURE FOR GRANTING PATENTS FOR INVENTIONS AT OAPI

Objective
To enable agents, Intellectual Property Counsel and other intellectual property professionals to
familiarize themselves with the provisions of Annex I of the Bangui Agreement, Act of 14 February 2015, the new procedure for the protection of inventions at OAPI, the procedures for opposing the granting of a patent, for claiming ownership before the organization, the content of the documentary search report on the state of the art, the different types of notification of irregularities, elements of responses including deadlines.
Educational objectives:
Attorneys, IP consultants, and other IP professionals must, upon completion of the training, be able to master:
– Provisions of Annex I of the Bangui Agreement, Act of December 14, 2015;
– New procedure for granting a patent for invention at OAPI;
– Preparation of a patent application file for OAPI;
– Different stages of processing a patent application at OAPI;
– Stages of an opposition procedure to the granting of a patent at OAPI;
– Stages of a procedure for claiming rights to the title;
– Interpretation of a prior art search report;
– Content of the different types of irregularity notifications, the elements of the response to be provided, including deadlines.
