The neighboring rights are their origin from a work protected by copyright and are similar to it in certain respects. Their purpose is to protect the legal interests of certain natural or legal persons who contribute to making works accessible to the public.
b. Beneficiaries of neighboring rights
These people can be divided into three groups:
Performers or performers (singers, actors, dancers, musicians, etc.);
Phonograms or videograms producers;
Broadcasting organizations or audiovisual communication companies.
