About the OAPI

The African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) plays an essential role for 17 Member States through West Africa, Central Africa and the Indian Ocean. Thanks to the Bangui agreement, the OAPI offers centralized procedure to effectively manage all industrial property securities.

Beyond intellectual protection, the OAPI guarantees a solid legal environment favorable to investments and international trade. Its reinforced anti-contaisse system ensures the safety of economic actors.
