It consists of checking the existence or availability of a title in the OAPI databases. The prior art search can be carried out by identical or similarity searches and applies to trademarks, trade names and industrial designs.
For product or service brands, the search is conducted for identical and/or similar matches based on the criteria specified by the applicant. Any similarity, taking into account the product or service categories indicated by the applicant, is noted in the summary report that will be returned to them. This search is subject to a fee .
