The African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) actively participated in the second edition of the Bafoussam Development Forum (FODEBAF 2) on January 24, 2025. This event, themed "Promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Development in Bafoussam: Mobilizing Actors and Resources," brought together key stakeholders in local development. Patent examiner Idi Ayouba, representing OAPI, spoke at the "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" panel. His presentation highlighted the crucial role of intellectual property in supporting creators and developing local businesses.

The forum focused particularly on youth and women's entrepreneurship in the region. Discussions facilitated the sharing of success stories from startup incubators and accelerators, providing inspiring models for future entrepreneurs. Through this participation, OAPI reaffirms its commitment to inclusive local development. Our organization works concretely to enhance the value of intellectual property assets, create jobs, and generate income, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of communities and member states
