March 20, 2025, the OAPI and the Network of Intellectual Property Magistrates (RAMPI) sign a partnership agreement to formalize a framework for collaboration conducive to better application of intellectual property rights in OAPI member states.

Following a series of meetings and exchanges for several months, led by its director general of OAPI Denis Bohoussou and the president of the Rampi Max-Lambert NDEMA Elongue , proceeded to the signing of the memorandum of understanding during an official ceremony at the headquarters of the organization.

The Convention between the two institutions aims to set up a common platform for the Member States, promoting the capacity building of judicial actors in the treatment of litigation relating to attacks on intellectual property rights.

For the Director General, it is important to have magistrates specializing in PI magistrates within the space to manage often complex legal issues, and to make OAPI will provide the support necessary for the accomplishment of this mission he stressed.
