From April 28 to 30, 2025, an OAPI delegation made a working visit to the National Polytechnic Institute Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) in Yamoussoukro and to the Ivorian Office of Intellectual Property Oipi- National Liaison Structure (SNL) with OAPI in Côte d'Ivoire.
Offer quality training to meet current technological issues
The Master Engineer Brevet is a training program that aims to provide the OAPI member states with human capital in terms of invention and exploitation patents of technological information contained in patent documents and other sources of technical information, for technological and industrial development purposes. As such, the working visit has aimed to inquire about the progress of the program co -organized by the two institutions, and to mark actions allowing to project yourself on next editions.
Meetings for better coordination between stakeholders
Among other things, discussions, discussions focused on strengthening the master's program and identifying reception structures in order to promote the professional integration of young graduates. The OAPI delegation agenda during the stay has spread over several activities in particular:
• A courtesy visit to the first officials of the INP-HB;
• A working session with the technical team of the INP-HB in charge of the program with regard to its implementation the development prospects;
• a working session with the director general of the OIPI on the deployment of students on internship at OIPI and in partner structures;
• Exchanges with the auditors of the second edition of the Masters on study and stay conditions, also on the progress of future internships.
Through this intermediary, the OAPI is more positioned as a development agency by ensuring to germinate qualified expertise at the service of innovation and technological development in Africa.
