Yaoundé, June 27, 2025 – OAPI celebrated the closing ceremony of the 15th edition of its prestigious professional Master's program in Intellectual Property (IP). A solemn and proud event, it marked the culmination of a demanding journey for 39 graduates of its IP Academy (APIDE), hailing from various African countries.
A training program that symbolizes newly acquired expertise serving the continent.
Now better equipped to meet the challenges related to the management, enhancement and protection of intellectual assets, the new graduates received their diplomas, marking the end of their training and thus joining the new generation of African IP specialists.
At the crossroads of law, economics and technology, the master's program aims to strengthen national and regional capacities to stimulate the development of our states.
Academic excellence rewarded
The ceremony was enhanced by the presentation of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Excellence Awards, given to the top students in the program's three specializations. These were:
- NDI EVINDI Albert Legrand from Cameroon, specializing in intellectual property and new technologies ;
- YELTIGRI Winpanga Ghislain from Burkina Faso, top of the class in the economics and management of IP ;
- BOUSSA ELENGA Brige Dublinb from Congo, major in the specialty Applied Intellectual Property .
These distinctions illustrate not only the quality of the training provided but also the commitment of the students to be key players in a rapidly changing field at a time when innovation, creativity and knowledge are becoming essential drivers of economic growth.
Through this new promotion, OAPI reaffirms its commitment to promoting an IP culture in Africa, by providing human capital capable of supporting States, businesses and creators in the commercialization of their innovations.
